1. Scope
This policy applies to self-guided bike and e-bike rentals, enduro self-drive, 4x4 self-drive, camping gear rental, helmets, locks, route equipment, GPS units, maps, emergency kits, and any other ATV Tirana property provided to guests.
2. Pickup inspection
- Inspect the vehicle, bike, e-bike, or gear before leaving the base.
- Tell staff about visible damage, missing parts, battery concerns, tyre issues, or gear problems before departure.
- For self-drive products, we may record photos, video, mileage, fuel level, accessories, and condition at pickup and return.
- Once you leave the base, you are responsible for the rented item until it is checked back in by ATV Tirana.
3. Deposits and charges
- Enduro self-drive deposit: EUR 400, collected at base by cash or card.
- 4x4 self-drive deposit: EUR 400, collected at base by cash or card.
- Camping gear deposit: EUR 100, collected at pickup.
- Deposits can be used for damage, loss, missing parts, late return, abnormal cleaning, fuel, recovery, penalties, or unpaid charges.
- If the cost is higher than the deposit, you must pay the additional amount.
4. Vehicle and equipment responsibility
You must use all vehicles and equipment carefully, legally, and only for the booked route or purpose. Do not lend, sub-rent, sell, modify, overload, race, tow, remove parts from, or allow unauthorised drivers or riders to use ATV Tirana property.
5. Damage examples
- Body, frame, wheel, tyre, suspension, brake, clutch, gearbox, engine, underbody, battery, or electrical damage.
- Damage from rollover, crash, off-route driving, water entry, overheating, warning-light neglect, clutch abuse, wrong fuel, or careless loading.
- Bike and e-bike damage including bent wheels, broken derailleurs, damaged batteries, cracked displays, lost locks, and crash damage.
- Camping gear damage including torn fabric, broken poles, burns, missing parts, mould, heavy dirt, lost lights, damaged stoves, or unclean returns.
6. Fuel and charging
Enduro and 4x4 self-drive vehicles leave with a full tank unless agreed otherwise. Fuel used is not included. Refill before return or pay the fuel charge at return. E-bikes leave charged for the booked route; you must use battery assistance responsibly and return before the agreed time.
7. Late return
Return by the agreed time. Late return can affect daylight, safety, other bookings, staff hours, and recovery planning. Late fees, extra rental time, transfer costs, or recovery costs may be charged. Contact us before the return time if you are delayed.
8. Accidents, breakdowns, and recovery
- Stop safely and contact ATV Tirana immediately.
- Do not continue driving or riding if warning lights, overheating, brake problems, steering issues, tyre problems, or major damage appear.
- Do not arrange repairs, towing, or third-party recovery without our approval unless immediate safety requires it.
- Recovery caused by guest error, off-route use, lack of fuel, avoidable damage, or late return may be charged.
9. Insurance limits
Self-drive vehicles may have third-party liability cover, but damage to ATV Tirana vehicles, gear, personal injury, medical treatment, evacuation, guest property, and many off-road incidents may not be covered. You should arrange travel insurance that covers the activity you booked.
10. Return inspection and disputes
We inspect returned vehicles and gear as soon as practical. Some damage is visible only after cleaning or mechanical inspection. If there is a dispute, we will review photos, condition reports, staff notes, route records, repair estimates, and guest information before finalising charges.
